I am so excited for 2017. This is the first year that I feel good about my eating habits, fitness routine, and mindset. My goals this year are to dial in my nutrition and to not pick on food. With a toddler who grazes all day long it is really easy to snack right along side her.
I am eager to see what this year will bring. We have some big changes coming to my family, my husband has to give up gluten, dairy, and refined sugar…which means the family has to give it up. We don’t eat a lot of that stuff anyway but now we need to be really strict about it. 2017 is going to be a year of health and healing for us, which I couldn’t be more excited about.
We are kicking off this year right with a January 1 challenge group. We all have been indulging in treats, we might be feeling a little pudgy and icky, but now it is time to get it together.
Week one is all about cleaning up your diet. We will be sticking to a light, easy, and clean meal plan. We will be using this one http://fixyoself.com/2016/11/25/december-1-challenge-group/ from last month since it worked so well.
Since we are all coming down on sugar rushes, the first week will be your hardest. Your body will be detoxing from all the foods that you are not enjoying: sugar, excess amounts of salt, alcohol, and processed foods
You will have cravings, take it one day at a time. When you are cravings chips or chocolate, drink some water or some warm tea, distract yourself and in 10 minutes it will go away. Make sure to drink your Shakeology, that will help reduce your cravings even more.
This week focus on:
-getting your workout in
-drinking half your weight in ounces, in water, every day
-eating by the containers
-drinking your shakeology
-not beating yourself up if you mess up
