I am so excited to get this challenge group started! Its finally getting to feel like fall, which means COMFORT FOOD! I love soups, chilis, roasts, stew, but I hate that greasy feeling you get around your mouth when you eat it and the weight you put on from enjoying it a little to much.
Most comfort foods are full of tons of butter, cream, and fat. This week, we are going to be enjoying some clean, healthier options to comfort foods. It just so happens that this week we are also hosting a free 5 Day Crockpot Clean Eating Group, if you want to be added let me know.
21 day fix “BLT”
- 1 whole wheat or sprouted grain English muffin
- 2 sliced cooked turkey bacon
- 1 slice tomato
- 1 sunny side up egg
- hot sauce
These are just too good. I am in love with them, plus you get a little extra veggie snuck in there with the pumpkin. I like to have mine with some egg whites or turkey bacon. Watch the amount of maple syrup you are using, I use 1 tsp per serving.

Greek yogurt with low-sugar granola and fruit
For my lunches I like to prep a big thing of protein and veggies on Monday. That way I always have healthy food options prepped and ready to go leaving me NO EXCUSES! This is really great if something unexpected comes up in the evening, I know I can count on getting my green and red container worth of food in. If you don’t have a lot of time to prep, you can always buy a rotisserie chicken and make a salad with raw veggies or I suggest trying this recipe for chicken and veggies, its quick and 1 pan!http://gimmedelicious.com/2016/03/22/15-minute-healthy-roasted-chicken-and-veggies/#respond
