This will mark week 2 of 21 Day Fix EXTREME for me and the hubby. I just finished Country Heat to give my body a break from lifting and now I am back at it!
*Helpful tip: if you have platued with your weight loss, change it up! Your body reacts to change in a positive way, it keeps it guessing. How can you change it up? Change the time you workout, change the type of workout you are doing. When I switched from 21 Day Fix Extreme to Country Heat I lost 3 pounds! I will keep you updated with my change from going from Country Heat to 21 DFX.
The meal plan for 21 Day Fix extreme allow for no cheats: no wine or chocolate…basically no fun. But it will help you to get shredded. What we have decided to do is follow the 21 Day Fix Extreme plan to a “T” until Friday hits…then we will follow the 21 day fix guidelines for drinking and eating chocolate 🙂 *1 yellow for 1 drink, 1 tsp for chocolate
Meal plan time!
Oatmeal with turkey bacon and berries!
Cook a big batch of steel cut oats or regular oats in the beginning of the week along with frying up some turkey bacon. All you have to do is pre-heat the oats and the bacon and add in your fruit. That short time of meal prep on Monday or Sunday will allow you to pull your breakfast together in minutes!
I LOVE this. It is super filing and tastes like a fall dessert https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWO0cV2VGlw
Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal with Turkey Bacon!
Since in fall you NEED to eat all things pumpkin, this is a must! My inspiration, Andrea, keeps posting these pictures and it makes my mouth water! Super excited to try a big batch of this, you do need to modify the amount of syrup used…stick with a tsp per serving http://damndelicious.net/2015/10/29/pumpkin-pie-oatmeal/
…guess I’m in a oat type of mood
Lately I have been making a huge crockpot full of chicken breast and we have been eating it for lunches throughout the week. I have been sticking with the Buffalo Chicken recipe I posted here http://fixyoself.com/category/meal-plans/ but I have made that 2 weeks in a row so I’m thinking we need something just as easy but different. So we will go with:
Crockpot Balsamic Chicken with steamed veggies, just replace the pork with chicken, cook on low for 6 hours http://www.skinnytaste.com/crock-pot-balsamic-pork-roast/ Prep a huge batch of steamed veggies and eat throughout the week. I like cooking up a steamed green beans and adding EVOO, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
