Birthdays have always been super special in my family. When we were kids my mom would host these amazing parties at our house. Everyone in our class would be invited and it would be hours of fun. We always had our friend party, our family party, and we got to pick one place to go out to eat at.
As we got older the idea formed into Birthday Week. Basically you try to do something fun everyday for a week. This is my birthday week and it has started with a bang! Friday we went out for a girls night. We started at Color Me Mine, a local pottery place where you can paint different objects, cups, bowls, statues, ect. and bring them home. Next we went out to Baker’s Crust for dinner.
Saturday Morning started with my first intense workout since doing the 3-Day Refresh. I felt so good! I was faster, I was able to lift heaver, I think the 3 day break was just what my body needed.
After workout, we got ready for brunch. A bunch of our friends live in the same court that we do, we are always visiting each other and bouncing back and forth enjoying dinner with each other so we decided we should defiantly do a brunch together.
The wether was gray and kinda chilly but we had a great time.
It was nothing fancy, assorted bagels, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits, mimosas, OJ. It was a blast, the baby got to run around and the dogs got to get there energy out.
Later that night we met up with my brother and sister-in-law to celebrate my birthday and there 1st Wedding Anniversary!!!
Emily and I split a bottle of wine and we each picked a small plate to share
The food was just okay, we have been once before and got to sit at the bar for happy hour and the food and drinks were amazing! We had to sit in the restaurant and they missed the mark a little bit. It was little pricy too. After we had our first course we went to Yard House for some cheap drinks and more eats.
Everyone had beer, but me I had water because I am a light weight. We split chilled edamame and a chicken and rice stir fry. It was delicious! We had a great night, plus the in-laws watched the baby so we didn’t have to pay for a sitter, BONUS!
