Today is my first day back from vacation! After 2 weeks of waking up late, going out to dinner, enjoying dessert, and drinking wine, I need to get back into my old healthy routine. Even though I worked out while I was away, every thing is little more relaxed while on vacay. I try to eat as healthy as I can, I try to workout as intense as I can, however it is difficult when your sleeping in and relaxing.
While I was gone I used the Insanity and P90X tapes to get my workout on. The Insanity tapes are so hard! I love it, it is a lot of cardio and body weight movements. I was so out of breath and I’m in pretty good shape, obviously I need to work on my cardio more. The P90X tapes are great, there is such a variety of workouts from strength to cardio to core and much more. I am so thankful I have the Beach Body tapes I can take with me, other wise my workouts would just be short walks on the treadmill or beach. Now that I have 21 day fix tapes, which are only 30 minutes long, I’m super excited to test these out during vacation mode.
I’ve been thinking of investing in the 10 minute trainer series. I do my 21 day fix 10 minute Abs tape religiously, I think it might help me to keep my workouts intense while I’m gone. Plus its easer to keep the baby occupied for 10minutes instead of a hour when we are off our normal routine.
Anyway…Today my workout was simple, short, and hard! Perfect for when your trying to get back into your old routine. I met my friend Mary at 8:30, put the kiddos in the daycare and went at it.

2 mile bike ride at 7 mph
1 mile stair climber at 9 mph
4 sets of 10 each
Russian twist with a medicine ball
plank 30 sec.
It took us about 35 minutes and we where drenched with sweat by the end. Following the workout I made shake with Shakeo, mixed frozen berries, half of a frozen banana, and almond milk. Delicious and filling after a sweaty workout
