Like many of you trying to lose weight, I try to have strong will power. I eat from my containers, try not to pick on my toddlers snacks, workout and push my self as far as my body will go, and drink my shakeology religiously. However I am far from perfect.
Today I want to talk about downfalls and weaknesses, the very thing that can derail your diet and destroy your results. Everyone has that one thing they can’t live without, mine is chocolate. It has been ingrained in my mind, ever since I was young, that after dinner you have something sweet. I don’t care too much for cake or pie and I hate candy, my love is for dark chocolate.
I know many of you may be thinking, but dark chocolate can be healthy for you, yes that is true but I cannot limit my self to the small square I should be enjoying. My nights always go like this: Make dinner, enjoy dinner, clean up dinner, see chocolate covered almonds in pantry, eat two, eat two, eat two….you get the idea.
Another downfall…wine. I love red wine. Again you may be thinking, you can have red wine on the 21 day fix. Replace it with a carb container a few nights a week. Well what normally ends up happening is I have two 6oz. pours of wine 3 nights a week, not using it as a second carb.
The point of me talking about this is I know my downfall. I am able to pinpoint it so I know what I have to work on: hiding or not buying the chocolate covered almonds, having one glass of wine not two, limit my carbs the days I choose to drink wine.
Are you able to list your downfalls? Are you able to come up with solutions to change your success? Do you have a accountability partner to bounce ideas off of and get support?
I’d love to hear your solutions!
